Automatic Vertical Fiber Baling Line AUTEFA

This baling line was made by AUTEFA in year 1999. The line has been used to press bales from a fibrous by-product from a pulp process, and is suitable for different kinds of man-made and natural materials, including cotton, wool, straw, paper, plastic etc. The baling system consists of four parallel infeed and pre-pressing lines, two main presses with wrapping and strapping functions, a two-lane rail system to and from the presses and an automated warehouse system in two floors including a lift for product bales, stackers, labelers and conveyors. The system can bale two different materials simultaneously, as each fiber line is assigned to a different pre-press.

Working description:

The material is pneumatically conveyed via an air tube to a vertical dosing system. The material is separated from the transporting airflow and collected into a chamber, which cyclically releases the accumulated material into another collection chamber below it. Once the desired amount is collected to the second chamber, it is gravitationally released to a pre-pressing unit below. In the pre-pressing unit, the material is pressed into a bin, which is then transported via the rail system to the main press. The main press unit presses the bale into desired dimensions, removes the bin and wraps plastic straps and film around the bale. The bin is then transported back to pre-pressing unit and the bale to an automated warehouse via the two-lane rail system.
