Water Deaeration System CENTEC DGS Membrane 200 hl/h, year 2001

Membrane Water Deaeration system made by CENTEC in year 2001. The DGS is a modular water deaeration system based on membrane contactors. The skit is designed to grant low running costs compared to other methods based on high efficiency of the membrane contactors. Very low residual oxygen values are achieved with small energy and purge gas consumption (CO2 or N2).

Easy upgrading of capacity by adding contactors, currently it has three contactors, full automatic and maintenance free operation, short run up time, variable capacity range and a small foot print are important advantages achieved due to the membrane contactors. The membrane material is hydro-phobe Polypropylene which can be passed only gases and they are so called hydrophobe hollow fibre membranes where a fast exchange of gas out of the water is possible. The water is flowing along the outer side of the hollow fiber by the cross-flow principle. Through the inner side of the hollow fibre purge gas (CO2 or N2) is flowing at low pressure and sucked out by a vacuum pump. The piping of the unit was designed to have an inbuilt UV system which is a part of delivery.

The hollow fiber membrane contactors can be cleaned at temperatures of 85 °C. For cleaning food grade units, caustic soda and phosphoric acid can be used with concentration ranges of 1 to 3%. No surfactants or additives should be used in either the caustic or the acid. Equipment is good condition and ready for delivery.
